The Catholic Men Association of Kenya is an ecclesial movement for all men in the Catholic Church. The Association is affiliated to the international council of catholic men (I.C.C.M.) whose head office is in the Vatican, Rome.

The idea of forming the I.C.C.M was conceived by the association of the catholic men of the catholic action of Italy in 1947.

In1948, Cardinal Giuseppe Pizzardi of Italy introduced the idea to the Pope Pius XII who welcomed it and announced it as an ecclesial public movement of the Catholic Church.

The first international constituent Assembly of the movement was held in September 1948 in Lourdes, France and was attended by delegates from twenty countries. Saint Joseph is the Model and patron Saint of the movement at all levels.

In Kenya the C.M.A. was introduced in the various Catholic Parishes by Catholic missionaries at different times. The Missionaries of Austria introduced the Association in Nakuru in 1983 which became the first Diocese to inaugurate C.M.A at the Diocesan level.

In 1983 an interim national C.M.A.K committee was formed which hosted an I.C.C.M meeting at Kenya Technical College and another one in 2002 at Resurrection Garden. The committee facilitated introduction of CMA in other Dioceses.
